The History Tree
Description
The History Tree is an educational technology program that encourages students to learn history through the use of computer coding. Students research historical periods of time, document their sources, and then work collaboratively to create models (local websites) that display their knowledge. Emphasis is put on task oriented and collaborative acquisition of knowledge. In addition, 200 chronologically arranged articles are available to give students a basic foundation in world history, American history, geography, and reading comprehension. A complete training program for basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is also provided to give students the fundamentals of Internet coding, design, and development.
